I had never taken a picture of the house from this angle before. After I took the picture I realized you could see the reflection in the pond. I thought it was cool!

We had beautiful weather today. It was 21C and very little wind. We enjoyed the outdoors and had faspa at Henry's parents. Regan came to spend the afternoon with us. The kids thought it was so hot, so we let them play in the creek. They LOVED it! I can see them spending many hours in there this summer. I think we might be dumping some gravel down to keep it cleaner.

The Barn

Another weekend is drawing to a close. This is what the barn looks like as of Saturday night. I'm new at posting pictures, so not sure how well this will work. It's coming along. Hopefully next week you will start to see rafters on the lean to's and some sheeting on the walls. The snow and rain stayed away on Saturday, but it was still cold.

My Goals Have Been Met!

I really wanted to go to Brandon this week, and it was for purley selfish motives. I wanted to get my pictures developed, scout something out, find some new lawn chairs, and just enjoy a day of shopping. On Monday I was feeling convicted that my desire to go shopping was selfish. You see, I have been procrastinating at getting Titan's books up to date. It's not that I hate the job that much, I just find it very hard to motivate myself to sit down and do it. It seems like there are always other jobs that could be done. So I told myself no shopping until the job is done. Well I am caught up as of this afternoon and it feels sooo good! And to top it all off, I also got the lawn mowed tonight! It feels good to have exercised some self discipline! Monday is looking like a good day to go check out what is new in Brandon!

In other news...
Henry and his crew have been working hard on the barn, and it's starting to look good! The plans were to put up rafters this weekend, but with the miserable weather forecasted, he has opted to do something ground level. I hope to post pictures in the near future. Uploading pictures on dial up exercises the virtue of patience!

The kids are all doing well. Jeziah has a runny nose again, but is in good spirits. Raquel is looking forward to spending Friday night with Uncle Steve & Auntie Linda. Dexter enjoys it when all the extra help is over. It seems like there is always a need for the four wheeler and he is a capable driver! And Lacy (the dog) has way too much energy when the weather is cool. She has been digging in my shrub patches, and finding things to chew on. Seriously, when it warms up to anything over 15 degrees, she's a lazy dog, can't stand the heat!

That's our life in a nutshell. We'll talk soon!
